Lieder Development - a Brief History
Lieder Development, Incorporated is fortunate to have as its president Gordon J. Leslie. Gordon was born in Scotland and was educated in England graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. By the age of 29 Gordon had attained the position of Manufacturing Head of the Research and Development Division at Rover Cars in England and had the responsibility for producing the first 35 pre-production Land Rovers, the first Gas Turbine Cars and a series of Swash Plate Torpedo Engines.
Gordon immigrated to the United States in 1954. He opened his first business in 1956 and by 1960 had over 100 employees. He sold the company in 1963 and in 1965 became the General Manager of Microwave Component Systems (MCS). In 1968 Gordon founded Lieder Development, Incorporated which later was purchased by A.T.Wall. Gordon was appointed General Manager of the West Coast division. In 1970 Gordon elected to make Lieder Development independent which it has been since that time.
Lieder Development, Inc. is known throughout the United States as a company for which quality, price and delivery are paramount. One of the strengths of the company is the uplink and downlink installations contained in 159 earth stations worldwide. The company has received thirteen various quality awards for its ongoing efforts to produce the best product for their more than 114 customers.
The top officers of the company share a total experience among them of 80 years. Executive Vice President/General Manager Gregory Seyfert and Lab & Quality Control David DeBoe join Gordon in providing this experience.
